While it may not be even close to the final area of the game, this song does technically play in the top floor of the castle, so it counts too. When I started working on this piece I realized that pretty much every individual element is doing stuff that would normally be in some sort of horror based game, so I decided to really lean into the more cinematic heavy soundscape with it.

This song plays during the first half of the final dungeon in FFVII. This is actually where I figured out how to do more emotive strings and brass (I actually did this one before Anxious Heart and You Can Hear the Cry of the Planet), which made this song come out much more sentimental than I originally thought it would.
