Adding aluminum on top of the lithium batteries. These aluminum plates were the original fluid transfer plates used in the Smart Fortwo car battery. Originally they were connected to a coolant system. However, I'm not going to use the coolant system in the DIY powerwall setup. There is no need because of the low amp draws. The aluminum plates still help to spread out heat, and protect the tops of the cells.
I also do a little work on the BMS boards. I'm adding copper 101 bars with solder.
