Headlamp Reviews- Vitchelo V300, V800, and V800Plus
Comparing the Vitchelo V300, V800, and V800Plus
amzn.to/2qEZMzM Vitchelo/Moma Group sent me the V300, the V800, and the V800 Plus so I'll provide some feedback on each of them.
Note that batteries (duracell, actually!) are included with each of these headlamps. The V300 takes (2)CR2032 battierls, and the V800 and V800 Plus both take (3)AAA batteries.
If you're looking for a not-incredibly-bright headlamp, then the V300 may be for you. In my shop the high setting for the V300 cast about 15 feet to the other side of my workshop - but just barely. If you're doing work relatively close that you need a headlamp for then it will probably suffice for that task, but if you're doing something that requires the ability to see farther away, then the light output will likely be too little. Note that the V300 is listed for under $10 at the time of this review, where as the V800 and V800 Plus are both listed at $22.00.
I believe that I may have received an improperly functioning V800 Plus as one of the features, as noted in my video, didn't function properly for adjusting the light boost. Additionally the presses required for the V800 Plus are not very intuitive. For example you have to press the light button three times to get to the strobe function - Light on, Light off, then strobe. It's a little confusion and I found myself reaching for the manual frequently to double-check how the functions worked - not something you're really going to want to do.
The V800, if you're looking for a bright headlamp, is the winner of the group. With a very intense light output, and intuitive controls, I would choose it over the V800 Plus any day. Please refer to my video for demonstrations of each of the headlamps and their functions.

Note: I've contacted Vitchelo regarding the issue I experienced with the V800 Plus head lamp to see what their course of action would be if someone who had purchased the product experienced this issue - for example whether a replacement would be sent and the malfunctioning item would be shipped back to them, and whether or not return shipping would be covered. I'll update with that information when I hear back
