A friend handed me a piece of Neather’s Flint at the Coshocton, Ohio Nap-In and asked me to turn it into a point. So I put the hammer and pressure flaker to work and took this piece all the way down into a finished dovetail point.
This was a fun challenge, especially working with someone else’s material and trying to make the most out of what the stone gave me. Come along for the full knapping process and see how this one turned out!
If you enjoy flintknapping, primitive technology, arrowhead making, and watching raw stone become a finished point, subscribe to Gulf Coast Knapping for more.
