In July 1996, Blair Adams abruptly withdrew his life savings, crossed international borders, and told friends someone was trying to kill him. Days later, he was found dead in Knoxville, Tennessee—a city he had no connection to—under circumstances that still defy explanation.
His money, gold, and jewelry were untouched. There were signs of a violent struggle. Someone else’s hair was clutched in his hand. And there was no clear motive, suspect, or reason for him to be there.
In this episode of Bad Things, we retrace Blair Adams’s final days, examine the key evidence, and cut through decades of speculation to explore what most likely happened—and why this case remains one of the strangest unsolved deaths in modern true crime.
