Between 1978 and 1988, at least seven women were stabbed to death along the Connecticut River Valley spanning New Hampshire and Vermont. The murders stopped only after survivor Jane Boroski lived to describe her attacker. Decades later, investigators and researchers continue to debate whether one man—most notably Michael Nicholaou—was responsible for the killings known as the Connecticut River Valley Killer.
