They say if you’re only going to do one thing in Hawaii, it should be visiting Waipio Valley. And for good reason! Waipio Valley is absolutely stunning! Views of cliffs, the black sand beach below, and the lush green valley surround you and make you feel at peace.
With that said, it is a difficult hike to get down to the black sand beach below. It is also one of the shortest hikes in Hawaii, like the Polulu Hike. 0.6 miles but this one has an elevation gain of about 900ft… Needless to say, the hike back up was just brutal! (The views make it so worth it though!)

After getting married, we realized that owning a big house and working at a big company wasn't our definition of success and it certainly wasn’t making us happy.
