A busy weekend of running culminated with the Trail Outlaws Durham Coastal Half Marathon!
Lorna ran this back in 2014 (not 14 years ago as I say in the video, apologies!) and reckons it was one of, if not the toughest half marathon route around! Having ran it, I can say that whilst it's maybe not as scary as she'd led me to believe, it certainly was difficult climbing into, and hen back out of, dene after dene after dene. Hardest in the North East? It just might be!
However, it was as beautiful as it was challenging with endless views of the North Sea, the pleasant sounds of sea birds and the occasional dip into lush green woodland.
Despite the difficulty the miles ticked by nicely - I loved every footstep!
