Inside most hats is a band around the bottom, euphemistically referred to as a “sweatband.” It should be called a “perspire band.” Because humans perspire, while horses sweat.
Baseball style hats are worn by many. Of which many wear the hat backwards. This places the sweatband (perspire band) on the back of the head, while the front / forehead has the plastic tabs used to adjust the cap’s size. Plastic does not absorb the forehead’s perspiration / sweat.
Why do people wear this style hat backwards? Looking for consistency perhaps the pants should be worn backwards.
