Note that Rifle Engineer in HTCM is inflated heavily due to the Rifle 2 bug, making it hit double in certain places. It double-hits if you are on the edge while standing on the right side of the boss hitbox, or when you stand outside the red hitbox when on the left side of the boss (Primordus). In the PoV, you can see 2 numbers pop up when Rifle 2 is used fairly often, indicating the successful double hit.
