International Hyena Day was on April 27, but we love celebrating hyenas all year long!
These clever carnivores are some of the most misunderstood—yet socially complex and ecologically important—predators in the animal kingdom. Tavi and Kelele, the two hyena that call DZCA home, help break down barriers and show guests just how incredible hyena are.
To celebrate Hyena Day, Tavi enjoyed extra-special enrichment of tasty beef ribs and camel fur scents.
