Happy 84th birthday to Sir Paul! This is easily one of my favorite solo McCartney songs. It’s an amazing song and the fact that he played every instrument makes it all the more incredible.
Say what you want about his drumming and lack of technique, blah blah blah… Like Ringo, his playing is completely unique and extremely creative.
I’m used to hear this song on record and the very tail end of the fade out has some wild drum fills going on. I don’t know if that had been mixed out in more recent years but it’s definitely not on this digital 2011 remaster that I played along to here. It’s really hard to hear on the record because it’s right at the end of the fade. However, I did include it here in my playing along. Anyway, hope you enjoy!
