한화, 스페인 방산업체와 K9 자주포 계약… 서유럽 시장 첫 진출

South Korean defense company Hanwha Aerospace has signed a deal to export its K9 self-propelled howitzers to Western Europe for the first time.
This comes after the company secured a contract with the U.S. Army earlier this month to supply six K9 howitzer prototypes.
According to Hanwha Aerospace on Monday, the company signed a contract with Spanish defense firm Indra Sistemas S.A. However, the value of the contract and delivery schedule have yet to be disclosed.
Spain will become the 11th country to operate Hanwha Aerospace's K9 self-propelled howitzers as the company first began exporting the howitzer to Türkiye in 2001.
