In this webinar, Thorlabs’ Application Engineer Tyler Frisch will discuss some differences between fluoride fiber and traditional silica fibers and how handling procedures can be changed to work with exotic glass types. He will also demonstrate glass processing solutions, such as splicing and tapering of fluoride fiber. Furthermore, he will give insight on what is forthcoming for Thorlabs including High Taper Ratios, End Caps, and Combiners with fluoride fibers.
