Hampton Bay Gazebo 42" ceiling fan in white. This one requires some explanation. Just know that the motor is the one I've shown before, but almost all the rest of the parts have been swapped for ones in better condition. So a year or two ago I found another of these during Cleanup Week, and it wasn't in overall great shape so I've just been sitting on it. It was flush mounted, so it didn't have the mounting bits that I really wanted to combine into one good fan, but the blades were in nice shape. Fast forward to Cleanup Week this year, I found just a motor but WITH all the mounting bits I needed. So basically I just took all three fans apart to clean up the parts, and put one back together with all the best pieces. This eliminated a lot of the badly yellowed plastic parts, and a lot of the metal parts are less scratched up. This motor still has some scratched up areas, but it was the best of the bunch and just generally looks better with all these nicer parts added. The flush mounted fan also had a complete circline fluorescent light kit with glass in pretty fair condition, which I saved to have on hand in case I ever want to use it on this. Overall really happy with how it turned out. This is one of the few Hampton Bay fans I like to keep around, but it was just a little too rough for me to be excited about it before. Looks really fantastic now and may see a display cycle someday, probably not this year as I've already got the small spots figured. Otherwise, not much to add operationally. As always, wish the speed selection was better. But for a home center brand, I always think this era of Gazebo in any size or format was a solid lower-budget option for outdoors.
