Hunter Leighton 52" ceiling fan in brushed nickel. This is another fan that I found in the trash during Cleanup Week 2025. Pretty much entirely complete even down to screws, except obviously I added the more-recent chain pulls because I needed them for ease of demonstration, and they were the easiest coordinating thing I could grab. I have always really liked these. Definitely love a wing tip just about ANY time it's utilized, but this model in brushed nickel really encapsulates the early 2000s collision of traditional design elements with the next era of finishes. It's the same feeling as the brushed nickel Original for me, one of the bigger reasons that fan speaks to me, as well. It's all very embedded in pivotal childhood years, seeing this moment of design happen back when I would go to the home centers and take catalogs or brochures home to look at. I did swap out the wiring harness as the original capacitor values were drifting and it was sluggish. I have so many spare harnesses from parted out fans, easier to just swap than replace the cap for me. That aside, it now works great and cleaned up well. Was really just very dusty, not much else that needed doing. Bearings are quite smooth, but I feel like the Airmax motor tends to do well in that regard thanks to the better heat dissipation. It was flush mounted, but in typical fashion, I added my preference of a downrod. Super thrilled with this one.
