Hunter 1930's Original 52" ceiling fan in cobalt blue. Surprise, last week's video was not the end of the story. I ended up being very glad I took the 20 minutes to install that fandelier in place of the wine red fan, because later the same day, I received a message that they loved it so much they wanted to swap out another Original they had in the kitchen for the same type of fandelier. So another week later I went back over and did another swap. I had been made aware that they had another one on the first trip and caught a glimpse on my way out, but it was dim in the room and I did not realize it was blue until I went back for it. Unfortunately, one of the arms broke evidently some time ago, so it was only installed with four blades. Thankfully, they saved the other parts. For this video, I borrowed one arm from the red fan so I could at least show both configurations. Parts of this one are better than the red fan and there's no white paint overspray, but I'd probably call this one the worse of the two because of the missing arm, some cracking issues on a couple badges, and cracking on the blades tangentially caused by the badge issues. It was also completely dry of oil and sat stalled out on low speed in the original install. There's a bit more shaft wear, but nothing enough to cause any real issue once fully serviced and oiled. The oil returns were completely clogged and gumming up the shaft, but it's running well now! Obviously, you can't beat free, so I'm happy that both fans can at least be operational with the parts they do have, and look decent enough on the ceiling. All in all, big win.
