Hallstatt is a gorgeous lakeside town in Austria that looks a lot like the Biergarten restaurant in EPCOT's Germany pavilion (aside from the room full of skulls, obviously). In fact, most of the stuff in that pavilion appears to be more Bavarian and Austrian than German....
The story behind the Bone House: the graveyard next to the chapel was too small to hold more than a few dozen bodies at a time. So after 10 or so years of being in the graveyard, they'd dig up the body, remove the skull, put it in the chapel, and discard the rest! The last skull to be added was from a lady who died in 1983 - she's the one with the gold tooth.
TIP: For some reason, Chinese tourists LOVE this place. So much so that they actually built a replica of the town in China. Weird. Anyway, the Chinese tour groups start flooding into this small town at about noon, so definitely try to get there in the morning, because it gets unpleasantly crowded later in the day.
