Emily and I started our Europe trip with a 3-day stopover in Iceland, which IcelandAir lets you do for free. We used DCAcar to drive us to Dulles for our flight on IcelandAir - flying Saga Class gave us access to the lovely AirFrance lounge. Once we landed we used Destination Blue Lagoon to bring us to the Blue Lagoon, and then to the Canopy by Hilton. In Reykjavik we visited the Lebowski Bar, a "Big Lebowski"-themed restaurant with a bowling lane on one of the walls. The next day we did a Viator Golden Circle tour that also included stops at Friðheimar Greenhouse and Fontana Spa. Finally, we used Gray Line Iceland to hire a private car to drive us to the airport since we had a super early flight to Schiphol.
Rest in peace Emily Myers, one of the most intelligent, fun, and beautiful people I've ever had the honor of spending time with. This trip with her will always be a treasured memory.
