With Halloween right around the corner, I've had some requests to create a tutorial for this tune (video navigation links are in this description box -- please click "Show More."). It's a bit last-minute to learn a whole new tune, but hopefully this video will help!

I don't have my variations written out as sheet music, but hopefully this video helps anyone who wants to learn it by ear! I advocate learning by ear because it's a very valuable skill to learn, and I think anyone who plays an instrument can learn how to do it, whether classically-trained or not!

Normally, I try to upload seasonal tune tutorials more in advance so people have enough time to learn them, but I haven't had much time lately. =/ I hope this still helps people who wanted to learn how to play the tune for the spooky season!
This tune was written by Ed Pealman. I think it sounds really neat played on the lower register of the fiddle, but it can also be played an octave higher. I have added a clip playing it an octave higher in variations 4 and 5.
I also briefly go through the variations I invented for this tune because I had several requests to explain what I had done in the music video I made. I needed to re-listen to what I had created a few years ago because I had honestly forgotten what I made up back then lol. Normally I'd practice ahead of making a tutorial, but there wasn't much time for me to create and edit this video before Halloween, so I hope viewers understand.. =/
