I went for a walk up in The Pinnacles with my friends Gerald Clark, Allison Steel and Allison Langston the morning after a pretty amazing concert at Berea College in which we sang a bunch of shapenote tunes associated with the 19th century Abolition movement, along with Mat Callahan, Yvonne Moore and a stunning group of singers organized and led by Dr. Kathy Bullock.
