Here are some fragments of a memorable little singing in the Easthampton Congregational Church hall just a few weeks before Karen died. Karen House leads 559 in the Sacred Harp Cooper Edition, Kelly House leads 139 in the 1991 edition and I lead 448 (the tape starts around the middle). Filmed by Mirjana Laušević. You can hear her forgetting not to sing while holding the camera at the end. There are a couple of folks whose names aren't coming to mind or who I can't quite make out, but in the tenors, in addition to me, I see Phillp Saylor Wisor, Alison Schofield (Steel), Andrew Magee, Tollie and Ramona Lee, Kshama Ananthapura, Paula... and I think that's Ken Langley. Basses: Eric Morgan, Louis Freilicher, Miles and Tom Schofield, Peter Irvine, Johnny and David Lee. In treble I see Laura Timmerman, Eliza Cavanaugh, Kelly and Karen House, Cathy and Delorese Lee, Laura Risk...Altos are Linda Shea, Minja, Cath Oss (Tyler) and Laura Clawson.
Update June 17: The singing was on May 14, and wasn't Karen's last. Peter Irvine remembered, and Bradford West confirmed, that she and Bradford went to a singing in Brooklyn on the afternoon of June 11. Karen passed away during the early hours of June 12.
