Jill takes her therapy balls and expertise on the road to community member Liz, a busy hairstylist in Hollywood. Liz has aches and pains caused from repetitive motion demands of her job. After observing Liz at work, Jill demonstrates several simple rollouts that she can do at work in between clients, and at home before or after work to prep for the day or decompress from the day.

First up, Sole Solution: Jill targets the intrinsic muscles of the feet to help ‘wake up’ the sleepy muscles and get the bones into better alignment in preparation for movement. Follow along with the targeted placement points, linger and breathe.

Pelvic Floor Restore: Jill uses the YTU Therapy Ball on a stool to help Liz indirectly restore ease to her low back. The YTU therapy balls work with the fascial attachments of the pelvic floor which in turn help calm the muscles of the low back.

Moving up the chain, Pec Minor at the Wall (a YTU favorite), helps de-tension the pec minor which when short and tight, causes excessive internal rotation of the upper arm bone which then lengthens the muscles of the upper back.

The neglected elbow negotiates loads caused by holding objects and moving the arm around. Hellbow is a great leveler and translates up the arm for sweet release.

Hand Help gives the palm of the hand a primer to continue the constant opposition caused by cutting and styling hair. The therapy balls help bring hydration to the overworked tissues of the thumb.

The final move is the Whole Arm Activation Stretch. This move ties in all of the previous mobilizations into an active stretch.

Roll. Rest. Repeat.
