It's voting time in "America", so I thought this might be appropriate...if uninteresting. It's not a very challenging arrangement, but it's by an American guitarist from the 1900's: Charles C. Converse.
As far as I'm aware, there were no "great" American guitarists from that time period. At least none that can sit alongside the likes of Giuliani, Tarrega, Sor and all those other guys from European countries. Come to think of it, I'm not sure the U.S. has ever produced a classical composer of the highest caliber. But I'm pretty ignorant, so maybe I'm wrong about that.
I don't want to encourage anyone to vote unless you've made some effort to verify the facts upon which you are basing your vote. Yes, that's contrary to our tradition, but basing important decisions on false information doesn't produce good results.
