Habitat for Humanity New York City and Westchester County recently announced the Habitat Net Zero project to turn 13 vacant, dilapidated properties in southeast Queens into 16 solar-powered, energy-efficient, affordable homes. The aim of the project is to keep energy use of these homes over the course of a year at net zero.
