GWR Castle Class 5043 'Earl Of Mount Edgecumbe is seen strutting it's stuff on two recent outings on the mainline. The double chimney Castle is first seen on the Cathedrals Express from Birmingham to Lincoln, where the Earl is opened up at the bottom of Arley Bank in Warwickshire, two angles capture this fine display of raw power with a great exhaust to boot. Just over a week later we then capture 5043 on a private train running from Didcot to Stratford Upon Avon. The Earl is seen racing through a flooded Kings Sutton on the outskirts of Banbury. Our final glimpse sees the loco approaching and passing through Wilmcote as it closes in on Stratford Upon Avon.
