Guilty Gear X2: No Mercy - Metal Cover @matthewbeckham

Got a request to do No Mercy from Guilty Gear X2, and since it has been a while since my last cover from GG I figured I'd give it a try.

Not much to say really, its already a metal song, like all of the songs from GG, just tried to put my own spin on it. The game has a great soundtrack, will have to cover more from it in the future.

$One Punch Man: The Ruler - Boros Theme Metal Cover The OPM OST is just so great, I cant help staying away from it for very long. I say it every time, but Makoto Miyazaki is a genius. Think this might be my favorite ost of all time, definitely one of my favorite shows. Anyways, I decided to do this cover for RichaadEBs contest because I thought it might push me to work harder / try different things / spend more time on it because these big Orchestral songs tend to give me more problems than say a traditional video game track. And it did! I easily spent at least twice as much time on this cover as far as virtual instrumentation/mixing/thewholeproduction aspect is concerned. I really wanted to get it to sound as full as possible, and to try and capture even a fraction of how great the song actually is. Really pushed myself / utilized about every trick/technique I know of while doing the virtual instruments, and Im pretty happy with the how it turned out. And of course, as it is a metal cover, tried to do as much as I could with guitars while maintaining a happy balance with the orchestral/electronic stuff.
