A whole lot of preparation, some pre-bell prayers, excitement about learning and a few nerves - probably more from parents than from students - could be seen islandwide this morning. All public schools and several private and charter programs headed back to class for the start of the school year.
It's the annual rebooting of a weekdaily routine, with families readjusting to the morning commute.
Up north, the administration and faculty at Juan M. Guerrero Elementary School had their campus Harmon Loop Road campus cleaned, prepped, and welcoming returning students back and introducing first-time pupils to the environment that's their new home away from home.
