After the mission Accidents Will Happen, a side mission is unlocked, and is located beside on of the movie studios. If you are having some trouble with reaching the required damage, park both the Deluxo and the Caddy in front of the entrance closest to the Bus that's used, and you'll want to damage them a bit with any weapon. Now once you start the mission and hit the cars, you'll get a good score right at the beginning.
