There's four driving side-missions, which consist in collecting all checkpoints in any order before the timer runs out. To start them, you must enter the a specific all-time parked vehicle near the area the checkpoints will be scattered. The one from this video can found at Supa Save! on Portland View, where a Patriot is parked. It is a off-road course through the cliffs and beach, thus requiring alot of grip control in doing it. You complete the side-mission when you collect all 15 checkpoints, thus receiving $20,000 as reward.
