Over the last weekend, I had a bit of a road trip, and was able to get to some game stores that I don't usually see, and due to that, I found a few games to add to the collection. One of those was Growl, the port of the arcade game from Taito. Growl tends to be somewhat pricey, which is why I hadn't picked it up before, but when I saw it this time around, I decided that I should go ahead and take the plunge.
Was it worth it? Is Growl a good title, and deserving of that high price? Or, does it play like an early Genesis title, with developers still probably not being able to get the most out of the console? And, what's up with that crazy plot? Well, I take a look at all that, and you can judge for yourself if it's worth it or not.
Also, on one last note, as I was editing the game footage for the video, I took a second listen to the game's soundtrack, and it's REALLY good. Like, I think I undersold it a bit in the review, so if you're into game audio, you might want to give this one an extra star, but to me, the fact that it was only a one player game just is really hard to get over.
