Group of 2 Childhood’s Sails VII and VIII is a captivating artwork by French contemporary sculptor Marine de Soos.

Marine de Soos has sustained an openness to the world that deeply permeates her career and her work. For each sculpture, the artist draws inspiration from her memories, particularly those of African and Asian landscapes. Whatever the initial image, there is always an emotion attached to it: “I can only work when I am in an emotional state,” says the artist. Emotion serves as her sole guide, culminating in an invitation to a voyage steeped in a unique poetry that sends the observer into a state of contemplation.
