Enceladus’ swell is an artwork by French contemporary artist Frédérique Domergue.
Frédérique Domergue finds her inspiration in nature and especially in the seaside. Her paintings evoke landscapes, skies and seas that are sometimes calm and tranquil, sometimes dark and turbulent. Here, the artist’s abstract piece could be of a turquoise wave breaking under a dark sky.
Frédérique Domergue uses thin sheets of metal applied on wood or aluminum panels. Through a patient process of polishing and oxidation the artist manages to confer a warmth and sensuality which tempts the observer to caress the oxidized surface of her paintings, now become all radiant and silky.
This work is signed and is sold unframed.
