Team Rubicon’s CEO, Art delaCruz, provides an on-the-ground update from Asheville, North Carolina, where our Greyshirts have been assisting with flood recovery efforts.
“It’s October 16th, and I thought I’d give a quick update to our Greyshirt tribe,” says Art. “If you look at the bridge behind me, the water was five feet over the top of that, which puts it at somewhere close to 40 feet. I’m actually standing on top of what used to be a building at the Veterans Restoration Quarters, where Greyshirts have been doing work for over a week.”
Art expresses gratitude for the incredible efforts of our volunteers throughout 2024. From helping homeless veterans in Los Angeles to supporting communities affected by fires and flooding in the Northeast, our tribe has answered the call.
“I know a lot of you are saying, ‘I can’t wait to get there.’ More will be coming, so get your go-bag ready to deploy,” he encourages.
