Already a cancer warrior, Ms. Cheryl Ward became a hurricane warrior as her home was threaten by Hurricane Harvey, and most recently Hurricane Beryl. Facing the unimaginable challenges of both her health and the aftermath of the disasters, Ms. Ward found hope and recovery through Team Rubicon. Our veteran-led volunteers stepped in to restore her home and provide the support she needed during one of the toughest times of her life.
Her story embodies resilience, community, and the power of compassion. Together, we can continue to turn disaster into hope for survivors like Ms. Ward.
