Local resident Pete Floyd shares his experience facing the storm’s impact: “It was pretty devastating, and I had water just at the bottom of my windows. Homeowners insurance we don’t have because they won’t do it because of the age of the trailer.” Without insurance, many like Pete face significant challenges in rebuilding their lives.
