Totally Vanilla Gaming's Graygarden is at last complete!
In honor of reaching 50+ subscribers, I decided to drop the first installment early! I had intended to wait til Sunday, but the first episode was already finished, so why delay? This Settlement is so large and detailed, a proper tour would be an hour+ long! So there will be three installments, each approximately 20 minutes. Parts 2 & 3 will release sometime this week. (I.e. whenever I can finish them!)
If you are new to the channel, it's devoted to Fallout 4 vanilla building. That's building without any mods. Nothing you see here is modded, unless you count Creation Club add-ons. Even then, my extras are minimal- and I will tell you when I use them. Most of my builds make use of two Picket Fences add-ons: the Home Decor Workshop and the Nuka Cola Workshop (which includes a player home). I definitely used both of them here! I also used Christmas lights strings from the Holiday Special Workshop.
In this first episode Graygarden: Skyline, I introduce you to my Graygarden Settlement, both before I made my final additions, and afterwards, so you can see exactly what I built. It may not be as elaborate as some, even some vanilla builds are more extensive... but!
The Settlement Size glitch has a upper limit and once exceeded, it causes real frame rate issues, and despite using the glitch to build all this, I'm just below that limit now. So I don't want to build anything else major, though I may tweak some details here and there. (I already rebuilt the upper stairway landing, making it larger and easier for these really dumb settlers to navigate!)
This Graygarden is divided into four zones: Graygarden, the original greenhouse, yard and bunkhouse, now includes a full workshop, with all stations: weapons, armor, power armor and chemistry; Grayshade Park, with resident dog, and overlooking patio; Fort Grayguard, the redoubt inside the overpass (lower level), and Skyline Grill, the restaurant and tower on the top of the overpass.
The three episodes will cover all of these zones, from the top down. In addition, I am releasing extra bonus content, with behind-the-scenes look at how the Settlement was made.
