In this video, I'll walk you through how to make this delicious, easy-to-follow soup from scratch. Whether you're using leftover ham or starting fresh, this recipe will quickly become a family favorite!

Ingredients:
1 package 15 bean soup & seasoning packet
8 cups chicken broth
1 Ham or cooked sausage
1 medium onion diced
1 clove garlic
1 teaspoon chili powder (optional)
15 oz. can of diced tomatoes with juice
juice of one lemon.
Add all ingredients except the lemon juice and tomatoes to the crock pot and cook 5 hours on high. Or 7-8 hours on low.
Then add the tomatoes and lemon juice, salt and pepper to taste and cook another 30 minutes.
For thick soup, remove 1 cup of beans, blend and add back to soup and cook a few additional minutes.
