A daytrip to GOVERNOR DODGE State Park located near Dodgeville in southwestern Wisconsin! Governor Dodge State Park is one of the largest parks in Wisconsin at over 5000 acres! It features steep hills, bluffs, deep valleys and there are also two lakes and a waterfall which was not flowing much at all when we visited in mid October 2020! There are numerous hiking trails that are dog friendly and offer a variety of great views! Although a lot of the leaves were past peak the park was still beautiful and is well worth visiting! There are 269 campsites available within the park and it is also located near the famous House On The Rock!
