The GATLINBURG/PIGEON FORGE area in eastern Tennessee is one of the top travel destinations in the United States. The area is considered to be the gateway to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and has much to offer to its visitors! Whether you want a relaxing getaway or adventure packed fun, there is something for everybody! Our trip was in July of 2021. We stayed in an amazing cabin at Legacy Mountain Resort near Pigeon Forge, took a day trip to explore Cades Cove in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, went white water rafting on the Pigeon River and watched the Independence Day fireworks from the Skydeck in Gatlinburg!
