Here, I’m comparing the new Gothic remake (2026) with the 2001 original. Gothic was a great open-world RPG from Germany that featured a dark game world with NPCs who went about their daily routines. Unfortunately, the combat system was pretty imprecise, and it doesn’t seem any better in the remake either... Of course, the graphics in the remake are leagues better thanks to the Unreal 5 engine. What do you think?
