One of the earlier Got Milk? ads. This is one is from the California Fluid Milk Processors Board, who started the campaign. It was later backed by milk concerns nationwide.
We are introduced to the town of Drysville, a small town with no milk. We see the horror of donuts and birthday cake without milk and cereal wetted with water. A bluesy song plays and explains the story.
A boy pays another schoolkid merely for a view of a picture of a jug of milk.
A later commercial "still no milk" gives us an update on the plight of this town.
This spot aired on KRON (NBC affiliate at the time) during Hard Copy after the 5th game of the Baseball World Series on NBC on October 23rd, 1997.
