The cheap 2-axis brushless gimbals are around £35/$45 delivered from ebay or places like Banggood, and work well with gopro3/4 and clones like the Firefly 6S/Git2/Xiaomi Yi.
The new Gopro Hero5 is slightly larger and heavier, so I had to add 15g of stick on balance weights as shown in pics to balance, but the gimbal then works fine.
The gimbal shimmy is caused by the camera wobbling on the camera bar, which causes this vibration.
Main problem is the camera needs to be firmly strapped to the gimbal, and shape of Hero5 makes this awkward, I mounted this with an RC battery strap but could only strap one end, as the lens bulge extends to the other side, it needs either a more central strap or some way to fix both ends.
Hopefully someone can come out with either a Hero5 specific strap, or another way to fix this firmly.
You can get these gimbals anywhere, so I'd suggest searching for cheapest where you are, but this is the one in video:
