When I first heard about Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (and for the sake of my fingers I'm just gonna call it AoS from here on out) I thought it sounded a little ridiculous. Marvel's certainly had a wonderful run with The Avengers but that they would try to make a spin-off TV show? It sounded like a cheesy, over-the-top catastrophe waiting to happen. However, my two avenger-crazed best friends were very excited for it... and once I heard Coulson was going to be in it I knew I was going to (at least) try it. I expected all the characters besides Coulson to be badly-written. ^^;
Well um, it has exceeded my expectations to say the least. Not at first though. At first I was thinking it was quite a bit better than I thought it would be, but I wasn't very impressed with the cast. But over time it's been getting better and better and now I don't even know what's happened because it's making me cry about every episode now! ;--; Now the show seriously has that Marvel/Avengers vibe, even if it isn't crawling with superheroes. And I LOVE it (have I mentioned that yet?) AoS has quickly risen to be one of my top favorite TV shows. And honestly, I'd probably consider it my second favorite by now, right under Hannibal.
One of the biggest surprises of all: the cast! At first I felt like the actors were a little confused and the characters were a bit boring... and now I love all of them. I'm actually surprised how much I've come to like Skye because at first I found her annoying. Ward too. But anyway, I'm not here to talk about them, I'm here to talk about our dear science duo.
Now I have to say that when the first episode started and I saw FitzSimmons, I didn't think anything really. I was kinda like "Oh dear, they're probably going to try to make these characters too funny and they're not going to be funny at all and they seem boring..." and that was about it. When I started AoS I didn't expect to love these two at all. I definitely didn't expect them to become my favorite part of the show (and yeah, they pretty much are by this point.) But then FZZT happened. Anyone who's seen the show knows. xD
There's so much I love about FitzSimmons.They actually come with a pairing name. They're amazingly cute. They're surprisingly deep. They make me cry more than anything else in the show. ;__; And both characters are so epic. In fact, Simmons is probably my favorite character with how brave she is! I mean come on, she saved her friends from a bomb (even if it wasn't a real bomb! xD). And they're so fun! I fell for them after FZZT and I haven't looked back (and does anyone else absolutely love that they've become the main pairing of the show? I mean, they really have, at least for now :3). They better not pull that stupid move where after five seasons the two are still completely clueless about their feelings for each other... That would be the worst.

So I decided to make this episode after T.R.A.C.K.S. (man does shield love their abbreviations.) The FitzSimmons moment had me crying a waterfall. Up until that point I'd never really thought about vidding them but after that...I couldn't hold it in! I had to make this (and I was surprised no one else rushed off to make a video too...). It took me a while to decide on the song, but I think this one is perfect because of how many times Simmons sacrifices herself to save her friends, plus the great emotion in their pairing. And I don't THINK I was as lazy with this video as I have been previously. I actually used some colorings. Also it is kind of focused on Simmons. It seemed right to focus on her, what with all the great moments she has and the song.
Finding the episodes was such a pain, because I've waited too long and now the links are all dead. ^^; So I got stuck with a horrible quality FZZT! I did my best to mask the ugliness. I hope it isn't too noticeable... I also didn't want to download a whole episode for one minute of FitzSimmons, so I very discreetly took some YT clips ;P So yes, this is not as high quality as some people's. T...T I hope it's not blinding to the eyes. I also hope this gets seen by at least a few AoS fans? Thanks to YTs tag system I don't think anyone can find my videos anymore...

I really love this pairing ; ; Theyre tear-inducing. And so sweet and so meant to be! I really dont care about Jinta and Anaru. Im not against them, and I like that theyre sorta going to end up together... but come on, the real one he was supposed to be with was Menma T T Stupid parents letting your children play by a river!
Anyway, so I wish there were more Jinta/Menma videos... Its weird, but theyre not that many. Theres mostly just AnoHana-in-general videos and then a weird amount of Jinta/Anaru and Anaru/Yukiatsu. For some reason people like to edit with Anaru I guess o.O So I hereby make my contribution to the Jinta/menma collection! I know it isnt much... thats why I really hope I can make another someday. A better one. I have some really good (anoha—this anime) video ideas in my head, but unfortunately they have to compete with allll the others. Bleh why cant editing a video take three hours?

This video was more of a random edit :D If I remember right, I just felt like editing to Jinta and Menma...and this song was the one I felt like editing to most. Its not one of my favorite songs, I was just in the mood for it ^^; Actually, it was a while after starting this video that I began to like the original version by Taylor Swift a lot more than this cover... and then I was sad I didnt use the original. Cuz now, I cant really use the original ever can I? xD
Im sorry the editing isnt very good in this... I think I was trying something new and it didnt work out. But I was lazy and didnt want to go change a third of the video. I know theres too many zooms. I know it gets tiring to look out. Ill try not to do it again. T///T It really was a random edit (sorta) because I didnt stress over making it perfect like I usually do. Although it did take a while to complete... because I was sidetracked with so many other videos :P Oh yeah, it took me too long to get around to uploading this! This story is like the one you know, but not entirely the same...
Summary: Leo Fitz and Jemma Simmons are scientists, best friends, and agents of the intelligence organization S.H.I.E.L.D. The two friends are so inseparable theyre known as FitzSimmons.
When FitzSimmons are recruited for one of S.H.I.E.L.D.s new teams they are thrust into a world of adventure they werent prepared for. A lot of change is coming their way and the arrival of Agent Triplett, a new team member with an interest in Simmons, causes Fitz to think differently about his closest relationship. Will he have the courage to talk to Simmons? And will Simmons return his feelings or wish for things to remain the same?

So I got this idea one day two months ago to make a movie cover for a fake FitzSimmons movie. It was just going to be a picture edit to post on tumblr. Then I thought: why stop there? I got inspired to make a video and I think its turned out successful! I worked on it for a month off and on and had such a fun time. I feel like this is the biggest project Ive done in a while.
The main work was finding the right scenes to use and then using them together to create a story. I hope it turned out okay and I hope its easy to follow. The audio editing was also a PAIN. I wanted to make them have a conversation that never happens and so I would remember bits of audio to use but the audio would never be worded right. Like, I wanted to use the part where he says if you did I dont know what I would do [ep 20 pool scene] but I couldnt find a way to put it in context correctly. But thanks to all the audio tampering I did, I learned things about audio editing. So those are just some of the things I went through during this project.
This video might seem a bit random, but hey Im a S.H.I.E.L.D. fan. And it was fun. And have I mentioned Im a crazy FitzSimmons fangirl?
I wouldve uploaded it a week sooner but some great people on Tumblr created a FitzSimmons week and gave me the perfect opportunity to upload it! Btw FitzSimmons week is from July 13 19. Its been very fun so far! And the theme for today is actually nightmare. Well if you watch my video and think youve just had a nightmare, I think Ive done something wrong...
