I imagined this video as a lengthier fight scene, but first I just wanted to make a short test featuring one old and one new 3D model, and try out light and rain effects.
This Godzilla model was made back around late 2016 or early 2017 and has not been used in any public animations before. It's not the model I wanted to animate originally but using it was easier than making a wholly new one. It still needed lots of correction to be usable, since it was made for a specific purpose and has some very unique features not seen on any other Godzilla design (to my knowledge). I removed most of these for the sake of this video because they kept getting in the way of the animation, but they might make an appearance in a later video.
I gave Biollante some unique traits instead, since I didn't try to make her film-accurate. It's been a long time since I made a video with a custom kaiju model, and making her was a quick, refreshing experience compared to the usual hassle of trying to stick close to official designs. It's not fully done, I could add some more vines to it and give it a flower form, but that will have to wait.
