BornCG | Godot 4 3D Platformer Lesson #14: Fall Zone to Change Scenes @BornCG | Uploaded August 2024 | Updated October 2024, 1 day ago.
In this lesson I'll show you how to add a large 'zone' beneath our game level's platforms that detects collisions , which will cause the game to switch to a different scene/screen when the player falls off a platform and enters it! Later in this course we'll be using this functionality to switch to a 'game over' screen if the player falls to their peril, but for now we'll simply re-start the game level.
