Chapter 9: Ice Caverns
- The Manticore boss fight starts @ 10:41
- The Manticore is a Dragon with parts of a scorpion (tail), lion (head), bat (wings), and shark (jaws). That's messed up. It mostly attacks in the air and breathes fire at Kratos which CANNOT be blocked (and probably not parried either). On the ground it's just as deadly as the tail strikes fast and will stun Kratos. However on the ground is the player's best chance to beat this 'dragon'. Stay close to it and be ready to dodge the tail. Take note that the Wings Flap Wind Gust CAN BE BLOCKED.
2nd half: On NUR on Hard or Titan Mode this part gets tough. Good news is it's grounded, BUT it becomes VERY unpredictable so I strongly recommend using Hit and Run attacks. But with the upgrades the fight can end much quicker. It's super important to change your approach to medium range attack in this sequence. After delivering enough damage to the Manticore it will panic and spawn it's offsprings. Bait them in front of the Manticore and do LOTS of Collision Damage on the dragon. It will panic again some more than finally QTE for the win :)
- I edited out the explorer guy who got devoured by the Manticore. Felt too fillerish for my taste
