The word “God” is not the Name of the Most High.
Isaiah 65:11 warns about those who forsake 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 and prepare a table for Gad — a deity of fortune, directly tied to Baal worship. The location Baal-Gad reflects how ancient Israel blended the worship of the true Elohim with the names of false mighty ones.
Historical and linguistic sources, including Webster’s Dictionary, confirm that “God” was a title used for heathen deities, including Odin, Thor, and Zeus. These were all localized names for the same false Baal system — gods of war, power, and prosperity.
