This year, my Common milkweed (Asclepias syriaca) came up starting early-mid April. A couple of plants has gotten just enough growth that a few monarchs have laid eggs on them. And not just the usual one or two eggs. I found 12 monarch caterpillars on one plant and 5- 6 on others. I've never seen this many this early.
