Footage from a one hour Gladiatorial themed section at our Feb 2026 sparring event. Here we use a wide mixture of training tools that go some way to representing Roman gladiatorial weaponry. Contact levels much be controlled due to the chaos of the games. Synthetic training tools only.
No it doesn't really consider all the elements of real gladiatorial combat, especially armour. restricted vision, ability to sustain multiple wounds etc. It is just a bit of insight into what some of it might have been like, and a lot of fun.
